March 25, 2013

Garner, N.C., (March 25, 2013) – As families continue to seek simple solutions to mealtime, Butterball is pleased to offer a brand new product that will make it easy to create better-for-you recipes. Introducing new Butterball Every Day Recipe Starters Frozen Turkey Meatballs, created with simple, natural ingredients to give families great tasting recipe ideas any day of the week.

“We are excited to introduce a product that helps families incorporate turkey with a no-fuss meal option that’s better-for-you and on the table in a flash,” says Heather Sheffield, brand manager of innovation and licensing for Butterball. “This new addition to our lineup gives consumers a versatile product to use for dinnertime recipes or appetizers for any party.”

Frozen turkey meatballs are fully cooked and ready to eat in 15 minutes or less – offering the taste and texture of a traditional, homemade meatball but with 30 percent less fat than the leading meatball. The meatballs start with fresh lean ground Butterball turkey and then are seasoned to perfection. Available at select stores nationwide in two different flavors, Original and Italian Style, and two size varieties, one ounce for dinner entrees such as spaghetti and half an ounce, ideal for appetizers.

Adding to the product’s convenience, Butterball Frozen Turkey Meatballs feature a re-closable zipper to allow for easy portioning as well as storage.
