California Style BBQ Turkey Pita

Butterball

Honey, smoke and barbecue combine to make a statement. Add some cilantro for some extra zest.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice pita bread
  • 3 tablespoons honey barbecue sauce, divided
  • 4 ounces (about 2 slices) Butterball® Honey Smoked Turkey Breast
  • 2 slices Gouda cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 3 slices red onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro, optional
Directions

  1. Preheat broiler.

  2. Place pita bread on baking sheet. Brush with 2 tablespoons of the barbecue sauce.

  3. Top with turkey and cheese. Broil until cheese melts.

  4. Remove from broiler. Spread with remaining 1 tablespeen of the barbecue sauce. Top with shredded lettuce, red onions and cilanto.

  5. Roll into a cone shape. Secure with a wooden pick and serve.
