Preparation Instructions

DO NOT THAW. Ready to Roast items should be cooked from frozen.

Preheat oven to 375°F. No need to thaw. Just remove frozen turkey from outer plastic bag. Cut 2-4 slits on the top of the bag (one inch long).

Place frozen turkey in roasting pan with printed side facing up. Do not cover. Roast in center of oven. Allow room for bag to expand without touching the oven racks or walls. Approximate roasting time is 3-4 ½ hours. Roasting time will vary by oven. Browning occurs without basting.

Check internal temperature at 3 hours. Turkey is done when the temperature on a meat thermometer reads 165°F in the breast and 180°F in the thigh.

However, Butterball recommends that the temperature in the breast reach 170°F for best eating experience. Avoid touching any bone with the thermometer.

Allow turkey to cool in the bag for 20 minutes. In meantime, prepare gravy packet.

Cut open bag, lift out turkey. Be careful of hot steam and juices.

Carve and serve.
