Green Beans Caesar

Butterball

Green beans combined with garlic, lemon juice, anchovy paste and Parmesan cheese give this vegetable a new flavor twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 pounds fresh or frozen trimmed green beans
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons anchovy paste
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup (2 ounces) grated fresh Parmesan cheese
Directions
Serving Suggestions
  1. Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add beans and cook 3 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain.

  2. Heat olive oil and butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add garlic. Cook and stir 1 minute.

  3. Stir in lemon juice and anchovy paste until well blended. Stir in beans and coat thoroughly with sauce. Season with pepper and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
