Grilled Turkey Apple Cheese Sandwich

Grilled sandwich with layers of turkey, apple, cheese and honey mustard.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices marble rye bread
  • 1/3 cup honey mustard
  • 8 slices leftover cooked Butterball® Turkey
  • 1 medium unpeeled tart apple, cored and cut into 12 thin slices
  • 8 slices ((1 ounce each)) smoked Gouda cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
Directions

  1. Spread one side of each bread slice with mustard.

  2. Top 4 of the bread slices with turkey, apple and cheese. Cover with remaining bread slices, mustard-side down.

  3. Spread outsides of sandwiches with butter.

  4. Heat large skillet on medium heat. Add 1 to 2 sandwiches at a time. Cook 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.
