New England Cranberry-Maple Chutney
Cranberries, maple syrup and ginger add tangy sweetness to carved turkey.

Ingredients
- 1 bag (12 ounces) frozen or fresh cranberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup (about 2 1/2 ounces) chopped crystallized ginger
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey Dijon-style mustard
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Combine all ingredients in heavy medium saucepan.
Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered, 10 to 15 minutes or until cranberries begin to pop and mixture thickens. Refrigerate, covered, at least 2 hours to chill and allow flavors to blend.

- This is the BEST way to eat cranberries for Thanksgiving. I usually have to alter recipes to make them good, but this one is PERFECT as is. It is also great on turkey sandwiches, or by the spoonful right out of the bowl!
