Texas Beans
Three types of beans flavored with garlic, onions, peppers and spices, simmered and served with Butterball Smoked Sausage.

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 6 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cups diced onions
- 1 1/2 cups diced green bell peppers
- 1 1/2 cups diced red bell peppers
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
- 1 can (16 ounces) pinto beans, undrained
- 1 can (16 ounces) red kidney beans, undrained
- 1 can (16 ounces) white kidney beans, undrained

Heat oil in large heavy saucepan on medium heat. Add garlic. Cook and stir 1 minute.
Add mushrooms. Cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until mushrooms are light brown in color.
Add onions and peppers. Cook and stir 7 to 8 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Stir in seasonings until blended.
Stir in beans and liquid. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer 30 minutes.
