String Beans with Browned Butter and Almonds
Browned butter and almonds add a festive note to green beans.

- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup slivered almonds, chopped
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Bring large saucepan of water to a boil on high heat. Add salt and green beans. Cook beans 4 to 5 minutes or until tender.
Meanwhile, melt butter on medium heat in large skillet. Add almonds. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until both almonds and butter begin to lightly brown. Stir in lemon juice.
Drain beans. Stir into skillet, tossing to coat with butter mixture. Heat through.
