Turkey Sausage with Apple-Sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon pure vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cups chopped cooking apples
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 package (14 ounces) Butterball® Smoked Turkey Dinner Sausage
Directions
Serving Suggestions
  1. Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat. Add onions and apples; cook 5 minutes, or until tender, stirring frequently.

  2. Stir in sauerkraut, sugar and caraway seeds.

  3. Cut sausage crosswise into 6 pieces each. Place on top of sauerkraut mixture. Cover skillet with lid. Cook 10 minutes, or until sausage is hot.
