Sichuan Turkey Burger with Cucumber Scallion Slaw and Spicy Mayo

Ingredients
SICHUAN SPICE BLEND
2 teaspoons Sichuan peppercorns
2 teaspoons Chinese five-spice powder
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons olive oil
BURGERS
2 BUTTERBALL® Frozen Turkey Burgers
2 slices aged Cheddar cheese
CUCUMBER AND SCALLION SLAW
2 mini cucumbers or 1/2 one large cucumber, finely diced
½ bunch scallions, finely sliced
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1-½ teaspoons ginger, finely minced
2 teaspoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
¼ teaspoon salt
SPICY MAYO
½ cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon hoisin sauce
½ teaspoon sriracha sauce
2 potato rolls or burger buns, split
Directions
- 1.Grind all spices in peppermill or coarsely grind with back of skillet. Add 2 tablespoons oil to spices in small bowl to make fragrant paste. Spread evenly on one side of each turkey burger.
- 2.Heat grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill burgers spice side down 6 to 7 minutes. Spices will toast and become very fragrant as burgers cook. Flip burgers; cook 6 to 7 minutes. Top each burger with cheese slice during last minute of cooking. Meanwhile, prepare Cucumber and Scallion Slaw and Spicy Mayo.
- 3.Toast rolls and spread with Spicy Mayo. Place each cooked burger on bottom bun. Top with Cucumber and Scallion Slaw and top roll.
