Erin Silberman's Breakfast Dogs
Ingredients
- 12 Hot dog buns
- 1 pkg Butterball Turkey Sausage Breakfast Links
- 12 slices American cheese or cheddar cheese
- Maple syrup, heated
- 7 Eggs
- Chives, minced
- Avocado oil spray or 1 tbsp butter (to coat pan)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Prep the buns: Slice ends off of each bun so they are a little larger than the turkey sausage links.
- In a parchment lined baking sheet, add the buns so they are partially opened.
- Add a slice of cheese to each bun.
- Bake buns with cheese for about 5-10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bread looks toasted.
- Heat pan on medium-low heat with butter or avocado oil. Whisk eggs and add to pan. Add salt and pepper. Cook until scrambled.
- Microwave or heat the turkey sausage links according to package instructions.
- Assemble. Add a turkey sausage link of each hot dog bun, on top of melted cheese. Top each hot dog with about 1-2 tbsp of eggs. Drizzle with warm maple syrup and garnish with chives. Enjoy!
