Ingredients

3-½ cups vanilla wafers, crushed into fine crumbs

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 cup powdered sugar

cup orange juice

¼ cup light corn syrup

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon margarine

Directions

  • 1.
    Line cookie sheets with waxed paper.
  • 2.
    Combine vanilla wafer crumbs, walnuts, powdered sugar, orange juice, corn syrup and cocoa in large bowl; beat by hand until well blended. (Mixture will be very thick and dense.)
  • 3.
    Shape tablespoonfuls of mixture into balls; place on prepared cookie sheets.
  • 4.
    Melt chocolate chips and margarine in medium saucepan over low heat. Dip balls in chocolate mixture to coat; return to cookie sheets. Refrigerate overnight. Serve cold.
