White Wine Cake

Ingredients

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

1 box (about 15 ounces) DUNCAN HINES® Deluxe Yellow Cake Mix

1 box (3 ounces) JELL-O® Instant Vanilla Pudding

¼ cup sugar

½ cup water

¾ cup vegetable oil

½ cup white wine

4 eggs

BUTTER WINE GLAZE

½ cup water

½ cup (1 stick) butter

1 cup sugar

½ cup white wine

Directions

  • 1.
    Preheat oven to 325°F. Butter and flour bundt pan or tube pan.
  • 2.
    Combine cinnamon and nuts in small bowl; spread evenly in bottom of prepared pan.
  • 3.
    Combine cake mix, pudding mix and sugar in large bowl. Add water, oil, wine and egg; blend well. Pour into pan; bake 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Prepare Butter-Wine Glaze.
  • 4.
    Remove cake from pan; place on cake plate. Drizzle with Butter-Wine Glaze while cake is still warm. For the glaze
  • 5.
    Heat water, butter and sugar in large saucepan over medium-high heat. Boil 2-½ to 3 minutes; remove from heat. Stir in wine.
  • 6.
    Brush glaze over warm cake.
